This year Sea Pines Montessori Academy has decided to participate once again in the Verizon Heritage Tournament’s Birdies for Charity program. It is a fun and simple way to raise money for our school, while at the same time supporting the efforts of the Heritage Classic Foundation.

Pledges can be a fixed sum or self-determined cents per birdie (one under par score) scored during the four tournament rounds of the 2009 Verizon Heritage golf tournament.

There were 1312 birdies in the 2008 tournament so a:

• 1 cent pledge yielded $13.12
• 2 cent pledge yielded $26.24
• 5 cent pledge yielded $65.60
• 10 cent pledge yielded $131.20
