HHI St. Patrick’s Day Parade Float Preparations
Come out to show your support for SPMA and our fabulous Lowcountry Pearl Opera inspired float in this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, which starts at 3:00 pm. Contact Tryna & Dan Fitzpatrick (use your family directory or call the school at 785-2534) to volunteer.
Notes from The Fitzpatricks:
SPMA and our parade float will be on the 6 o’clock news Thursday night, WSAV. Don’t miss it! (I believe our segment will actually air around 6:20pm)
We are planning a ‘work party’ for this Thursday and Friday in the SPMA parking lot.
We need help with:
taping, blowing up balloons, building the PVC arch, etc.
On Friday, the Elementary 2 kids will be working on the float as part of their community service hours.
All students who would like to participate in the parade will need to meet at the school at 1pm on Sunday, March 15th. If your child does NOT want to wear a costume from Pearl, he/she should come dressed in an SPMA (blue and green) jersey.
Students will be returned to the school via the SPMA school bus AS SOON AS THE PARADE IS OVER. Please meet us AT THE SCHOOL after the parade to pick up your child/children.
As of the today, we need the following volunteers:
- 2 – 3 adults wearing SPMA logo’d items to ride ON THE FLOAT
- 1-2 adults to ride IN THE BUS
ALL students are invited including Toddler and Primary children. Our younger students might enjoy riding on the bus and waving from the windows! Older students can walk, carry the SPMA banner or ride on the float. There is plenty of room for EVERYBODY!
Please let us know if your child would like to participate.
We will be on campus most of the day this Thursday and Friday, (March 12th and 13th) so feel free to drop by.
We could sure use the extra hands and ideas!
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Tryna and Dan
