It’s been a busy summer so far on the campus of SPMA! Here are some exciting notes to share:

1. The office staff has joined together to take their additional one-week summer vacation together, so the SPMA office will be closed from July 20-24, 2009. In preparation for the demolition of the auditorium, the power will be out during this time in the main office in order to re-route the electrical box.

2. The demolition of the auditorium is scheduled to begin the first week of August and due to be complete by August 20th. At this time the plans are to grass in the area. If you have any brilliant ideas for our new open green space, please contact Darcie Patrick by email.

3.  Now that the demolition schedule has been determined, here are the school start dates for all programs:

• August 24th: 3rd year Primary (Kindergarten), Elementary and Middle School students start

• August 25th:  New Preprimary students start their orientation through the end of the week with small groups scheduled on certain days/times

• August 27th:  2nd year Primary students begin

• August 31st: 1st year Primary and returning Preprimary students start

During the week of July 27th, a detailed summer letter and calendar 2009-10 will be mailed to all enrolled families.

The campus is buzzing with the sound of teacher’s training and campus modifications and renovations all intended to optimize your children’s educational experience at SPMA. We are looking forward to seeing you in August!!
