Dear Sea Pines Montessori Academy Families,

The Sea Pines Montessori Academy opera, Harlequin, is fast approaching and we are still in need of volunteers. We are looking for someone who likes to sew and can help with four simple costumes that consist of pants, elastic waists, and vests. Please let me know if you have some time to help with this sewing project. A pattern and material will be provided.

Prop items are also needed for the stage. There will be a collection box in the lobby for you to drop off items. Please be sure that your name is on the item if you want it to be returned. Our SPMA Middle School students will be organizing the props and making sure we have everything needed for the opera.

Items needed include:

• Pitch Fork
• Black Witches Broom
• Juggling balls (black and white preferably - but any color is fine)
• Jugglers rings
• Copper Kettle (tea pot)
• Small Bench
• Silver Cup for the organ grinder
• Several berets (hats). The opera takes place during the Italian Renaissance period, so please send in anything you think might work.
• Several dark scarves and several dark women’s wraps
• Large oversized ornate chair (throne)

**If you see in the collection box that we already have an item that you were considering to contribute, please leave it anyway so we can choose the best fit in size, shape, color, etc. for the opera.

We look forward to seeing our Sea Pines Montessori Academy families and friends at the opera, Friday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m., at the Main Street Youth Theater. Tickets will be on sale in the front office next week.
