Important Upcoming Date Reminders:

• The monthly Community Meeting will be on Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:30 pm.

• The Environmental Committee meets Wednesday, February 24th at 3:15 pm.

• The Technology Committee meeting Wednesday, February 24th at 4:15 pm.

• Opera Week is Monday, February 22nd through Friday, February 26th. If your child is performing, please check his/her school bag for a very important schedule for the week from Opera Coordinator, Teresa Kunich. Please let the front office know ASAP if you didn’t not receive one.

• The annual youth opera, Harlequin, will be performed on Friday, February 26th at 7 pm at the Main Street Youth Theater. Tickets are available to the general public through the front SPMA office or by calling (843) 785-2534. Seating is limited! Order Opera flowers for your budding star here.

• Have a Heart Annual Fund party on Wednesday, March 3rd at the home of Peggy and Frank Oldham. Details here. RSVP here.

School Notes:

• The Preprimary Young Learners Enhancement Programs are accepting new students now here. Session 2 starts March 9th!

• Correction: The Shamrock 5K will take place on Saturday, March 13th at 9 am. Run with SPMA’s Chi Running Club – details here!

• The Island School Council for the Arts invites SPMA families to attend a FREE concert entitled “Cross that River” on Saturday, February 27th at 4 to 5 pm at the Mall at Shelter Cove.

• Grandparent’s Day will be Friday, March 26th from 8:15 am to 9:00 am for primary through Middle school.  Grandparent’s Day for Preprimary will be on Thursday, March 25th at 11:40 am. Special art gifts made of recycled buttons will be given to the grandparents and or special friend.  Room mothers will help collect the buttons and assist the art teachers with the creation of the art gift.  Please send in any spare buttons you may have by March 5th.
