• Monday March 1st through Thursday, March 4th between 3 and 6 pm: Come help create the SPMA St. Patrick’s Day Parade “Eco-Carnival” float. More details.

• Have a Heart Annual Fund party on Wednesday, March 3rd at the home of Peggy and Frank Oldham. Details here. RSVP here.

• The next Community Dinner will be an Irish meal on Friday, March 12th at 6:30 pm. Reservations are $5 per person to the front office due by Monday, March 8th. Maximum seating: 80 people. Event is open to the public.

• The SPMA Chi Running Club will participate in the Shamrock 5K on Saturday, March 13th at 8 am. Join us!

• SPMA will showcase its Eco-Carnival float in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 3 pm on Sunday, March 14th.

School Notes:

• The opera Harlequin was a HUGE success! The house was full and every child was a shining star! A tremendous thanks goes out to Teresa Kunich, Volunteer Opera Coordinator, and her crew of parents and staff for an absolutely beautiful show. • View SPMA’s two sixth grade Montessori Model United Nations delegates who are traveling to New York City this week to represent the country of Romania. Good luck, girls! A preview of their agenda was shared at Tuesday night’s Community Meeting.

• The Preprimary Young Learners Enhancement Programs are accepting new students now here. Session 2 starts March 9th! See a slideshow our our Young Chefs!

• The Island School Council for the Arts invites SPMA families to attend a FREE concert entitled “Cross that River” on Saturday, February 27th at 4 to 5 pm at the Mall at Shelter Cove.

• Grandparent’s Day will be Friday, March 26th from 8:15 am to 9:00 am for primary through Middle school. Grandparent’s Day for Preprimary will be on Thursday, March 25th at 11:40 am. Special art gifts made of recycled buttons will be given to the grandparents and or special friend. Room mothers will help collect the buttons and assist the art teachers with the creation of the art gift. Please send in any spare buttons you may have by March 5th.
