Collaborative Earth Day Dinner Notes & Volunteer Cooks Needed!
On Friday, April 23rd at 6:30 pm SPMA will host a Collaborative Earth Day Dinner. Everyone, including the public, is invited! Reservations of $5 per person are due to the front office by Tuesday, April 20th.
The Menu:
- market pizzas with fresh handmade dough and local produce from the Bluffton Farmer’s Market
- market salads with fresh local produce from the Bluffton Farmer’s Market
- genuine tap water
Parent, teacher, family, classroom and staff volunteers are needed to assemble pizzas and salads! Dough and veggie fixings will be available for pick up at morning carpool Friday. Please email Carla Golden if you are willing to help with a pizza, salad or both! Sauce, cheese, dressing and other toppings are your choice! Pizza boxes will be provided for returning the pizzas to school for dinner.
What Each Family Needs to Bring to Dinner:
- non-disposable plates, cutlery, tablecloth, cups, drinks (non-alcoholic) if you’d prefer something other than water
- Eco-friendly, Earth lovin’ table decorations if you have them
Entertainment:
- exclusive private screening of No Impact Man
- The Lorax film for younger children
Dinner will take place “al fresco” on the classroom back porches overlooking the playground.
