Committee Notes:
Environmental Committee:
• New SPMA Kitchen Garden Display in lobby in Green Apple Boutique Bookcases – see what we’ve grown and what we’ve planted! Also see samples of global products for purchase online at ShopSPMA to help raise funds to maintain the Kitchen Garden.
• As part of our EcoSchool initiative we encourage parents, if expected to wait in carpool pick-up line for longer than 10 minutes, to reduce their carbon emissions by turning off their car. This small habit can help reduce toxic emissions into the campus air. We also encourage anyone who can to carpool with other SPMA families, ride their bikes to school and/or to purchase carbon offsets as ways to help protect the our beautiful environment. These are all voluntary actions that you can do if they feel right for you. We’ve noticed more parents and their children riding bikes to school – kudos and thank you!
