Important Dates:

• Return Discipline Policy Contracts by Wednesday, November 3rd.

School Notes:

• At your Parent-Teacher Conference you should have received the 2010-11 SPMA Family Directory, the Parent/Family Handbook, an updated SPMA Blueprint, and the school calendar for your binder. Also included is a Discipline Policy Contract that needs to be signed and returned by Wednesday, November 3rd.

• The updated SPMA Blueprint, Attendance Policy, Independent Study Policy are now online.

• SPMA is on WHHI-TV! Check out our interviews and commercials here! Lowcountry Child airs at 7:30 pm daily on Channel 3.

• Through the month of November SPMA will be hosting a food drive for Deep Well. The collection sites are in the foyer of the school in the two brown baskets. We are asking for families to bring in non-perishable food items. Here is a list of foods Deep Well needs for Thanksgiving, Christmas Dinners and every day for families:

Cannned or jarred fruit: cranberry sauce
Whole grain rice
Canned vegetables: green beans, corn, yams, pumpkin
Jar sauerkraut
Canned or dried beans
Canned soup
Whole grain pasta
Spaghetti sauce
Peanut butter
Jelly or jam
Canned diced or whole tomatoes
Boxed corn bread mix or stuffing mix
Packets of gravy mix

• If your student would like to Trick-or-Treat for Unicef and Deepwell, here are post cards to give to neighbors so that they can prepare money and/or food for your arrival.

• Order forms for Bess’ lunch are due each Friday by 10 am for the following week.
