Important Dates:

• Tuesday, November 16th at 6:30 pm: SPMA Community Night: Nutritional and Physical Wellness for your SPMA Student with Dr. Baird, Nurse Ruckno and Patricia Boulais of KidZone

• Meet and greet the new Upper School Mandarin Chinese teacher, Ms. Ting Peng on November 19th at 3 pm.

• Tuesday, November 23rd: Grandparents Day! Preprimary 11:40- Noon (students leave with family); Primary, Elementary & Middle School 8:15- 9:00 am

School Notes:

• The Parent & Family Handbook is also now online. The Wellness Policy is included in this Handbook.

• A new episode of Lowcountry Child is here featuring Shannon Alford speaking about Grandparents Day at SPMA! Lowcountry Child airs at 7:30 pm daily on Channel 3.

• Through the month of November SPMA will be hosting a food drive for Deep Well. The collection sites are in the foyer of the school in the two brown baskets. We are asking for families to bring in non-perishable food items. Here is a list of foods Deep Well needs for Thanksgiving, Christmas Dinners and every day for families:

Canned or jarred fruit: cranberry sauce
Whole grain rice
Canned vegetables: green beans, corn, yams, pumpkin
Jar sauerkraut
Canned or dried beans
Canned soup
Whole grain pasta
Spaghetti sauce
Peanut butter
Jelly or jam
Canned diced or whole tomatoes
Boxed corn bread mix or stuffing mix
Packets of gravy mix

• Order forms for Bess’ lunch are due each Friday by 10 am for the following week.
