Opera Week is Monday, February 14th through Friday, February 18th with Judy and Sanford Jones of Youth Opera International. SPMA students will be performing the youth opera Persephone at the Marriott Ballroom in Palmetto Dunes at 7pm on Friday, February 18th.

Tickets are now on sale! Please send in cash or check to Chris Harris, School Secretary, in the front office. Tickets are $35 each. SPMA children coming to watch will be admitted free of charge. Seating is open rather than assigned.

The opportunity to work again with Youth Opera International has been made possible by the Peggy and Frank Oldham Family. SPMA is also a grant recipient of $500, for the partial funding of opera costumes, from the Arts Council of Beaufort County with funds from the City of Beaufort and SC Arts Commission through the NEA. Additional funding is from the John & Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of SC.
