Parade Day Details – Very Important!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Sunday, March 13th at 3 pm

  • REMEMBER: Daylight Savings begins Sunday, March 13th – Spring Forward!
  • There will be two walkers holding a SPMA banner, followed by a truck pulling the musician-filled float, followed by a “Peace on Earth” dove (carried by 5 volunteers) and followed by the SPMA bus, walkers, strollers, and wagons
  • CHANGE of PLANS: If your child has been selected to perform on the float, please have him/her wear a white SPMA logo golf shirt or t-shirt. (Due to warm temperatures, we are not asking that students wear their rugby shirts as previously stated.) Everyone else, please wear last year’s green St. Patrick’s SPMA shirt or other SPMA logo wear – show your school spirit and be festive!
  • Everyone who will be on the float or in the bus needs to be at SPMA at 12:30 pm, the vehicles will leave the SPMA campus at 1 pm and head to the staging area at Coligny Beach Parking Lot; if you are walking along the float, please meet the SPMA group in the staging area by 2 pm (Pope Avenue closes at 2 pm); parade starts at 3 pm; you can pick up your float-riding children at the end of the parade route in Park Plaza around 4:30 pm or back at the school around 5 pm
  • All children in bus must have accompanying parent/adult
  • It is advisable to pack for your child a snack and water bottle; lunch boxes can be stored on the bus

The Booster Club needs at least 10 adult volunteers to help carry the 5 poles of the “Peace on Earth” dove. Volunteers can change out for rest. If you are willing to help, please let one of the float organizers know. Thank you!
