Important Upcoming Dates:

• Saturday, May 14th at 9-11 am there will be a Kitchen Garden Work Party. Details here.

• On Saturday, May 14th from 4 to 7 pm, SPMA will present student-made Gullah books, calendars and prints for sale at Branches during the Taste of the Village event in Wexford.

• On Friday, May 20th from 10-11:30 am the Fitness students will be enjoying Field Day. Please email Nurse Ruckno if you’d like to volunteer.

• All Love Line Forms and Preorder Yearbook forms are due Friday, May 20th. We are squeezing time as it is to get yearbooks to you before the end of the school year. Please make sure all forms get in on time…by 3 pm on Friday, May 20th.

School Notes:

• SPMA is in need of clothing hangers to properly store four years worth of opera costumes. All types of hangers would be useful. Thank you!

• The Environmental Committee is in search of empty wine bottles of all glass colors for an artistic, re-purposed glass garden element. Please bring your glass wine bottles gently to the school porch. Thank you!

• Spring Concert CDs are available in the front office. While there is no charge for the CD, any form of a donation is greatly appreciated.

• SPMA Shutterfly photos: Piano Recital…and more!

• SPMA is collecting Books for Tanzania during the month of May. Please bring in any gently used or new books to donate and place them in the large baskets in the foyer.

• Watch WHHI/Lowcountry Child SPMA videos here. The latest May episode is about the Preprimary Program and Brain Development.

• Order forms for Bess’ lunch are due each Friday by 10 am for the following week. Lunches can be ordered for 1 to 5 days per week. Call Bess at 785-2377 with questions and for full menu options.

• Every Friday is Spirit Day! Go to ShopSPMA to click into Land’s End school uniform shop.

Board Notes:

• The Development Committee invites you to participate in a campus naming opportunity to honor your student or another loved one.

Booster Club Notes:

• There will be a SPMA “Reel in Redfish” Fishing Tournament & Music Festival to benefit the 2011-12 Scholarship Fund on Monday, May 30th at the Shelter Cove Marina! Registration forms will be online and sent home early next week.
