Important Upcoming Dates:

• “Reel in the Redfish” public fishing tournament registration forms are due Monday, May 23rd.

• Pre-ordered produce boxes from Heritage Organic Farms can be picked up on Tuesday, May 24th between Noon and 6 pm. Call (912) 728-3708 to sign up for the next deliver on June 7th.

• Upper Elementary parents are invited to the annual Upper Elementary Poet’s Cafe on Thursday, May 26th from 6 to 8 pm. Please bring a Book for Tanzania as the “entrance fee.”

• Monday, May 30th there will be NO SCHOOL in honor of Memorial Day and the SPMA Booster Club will be hosting a “Reel in the Redfish” public fishing tournament & music festival. Please tell your friends!

• Register now for the June 7th Daddy/Mommy & Me Class for parents and their children ages 12 months to 2 years old. Please register by Friday, June 3rd.

School Notes:

• The Amazing Mrs. Perry is up to something creative again! Please bring in any thin cardboard food boxes (cereal, granola, crackers, etc.) that are not flattened. Also, if you have any flowers which are dropping their petals, please send in the petals. Thank you!

• SPMA is in need of clothing hangers to properly store four years worth of opera costumes. All types of hangers would be useful. Thank you!

• Spring Concert CDs are available in the front office. While there is no charge for the CD, any form of a donation is greatly appreciated.

• SPMA Shutterfly photos: Mother’s Day in Lower Elementary, Manatees & Middle School tennis, Staff Appreciation Lunch, Fitness 1 Mile Run & Rugby Club Scrimmage!

• SPMA is collecting Books for Tanzania during the month of May. Please bring in any gently used or new books to donate and place them in the large baskets in the foyer.

• Watch WHHI/Lowcountry Child SPMA videos here. The latest May episode is about the Preprimary Program and Brain Development.

• Order forms for Bess’ lunch are due each Friday by 10 am for the following week. Lunches can be ordered for 1 to 5 days per week. Call Bess at 785-2377 with questions and for full menu options.

• Every Friday is Spirit Day! Go to ShopSPMA to click into Land’s End school uniform shop.

Board Notes:

• The Development Committee invites you to participate in a campus naming opportunity to honor your student or another loved one.

Booster Club Notes:

• There will be a SPMA “Reel in Redfish” Fishing Tournament & Music Festival to benefit the 2011-12 Scholarship Fund on Monday, May 30th at the Shelter Cove Marina! Registration forms are due Monday, May 23rd.
