Suzuki Violin/Piano Fund

Elementary Violin Class

In 2007 a generous anonymous donation of $300,000 was made to Sea Pines Montessori Academy to begin the Suzuki Violin Program. Children begin lessons at 3 years of age in our Primary Suzuki Program and continue through our Elementary Suzuki Program. Our two trained Suzuki teachers give group and individual lessons which are a part of our school curriculum.

Your donation to the Suzuki Violin Fund will help Sea Pines Montessori Academy continue this important musical program where children gain poise, improve their concentration, enhance their mathematical minds, increase their auditory skill and memory, and develop an awareness of how perseverance and practice can affect attitude and ability.

Shinichi Suzuki was a violinist, educator, philosopher and humanitarian whose goal was not simply to develop a professional musician, but to nurture loving human beings and enhance each child’s character through the study of music Aligned perfectly with the Montessori Method, the Suzuki Violin Program and its Fund offer you the opportunity to support the arts and provide children with the gift of music.
