We are looking forward to seeing your children very soon! In preparation for their arrival, we welcome you to school for SPMA 101.
On Thursday, August 19th from 6 to 7 pm all parents are invited to campus to meet with their child’s teachers. Upon arrival, please first visit the classroom for orientation and afterward everyone will convene in the lobby for staff introductions and important announcements. This evening is a great time to reunite, meet and great new families, get informed and have any beginning-of-school questions answered.
All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing each of you!

Each purchase that you make of fair trade products through Global Goods Partners plays a direct role in poverty reduction and women’s empowerment. GGP ensures that each time you make a purchase, your impact is multiplied by three:
1) As a fair trade organization, you know that women in poor communities earn a fair income to support themselves and their families. This means that children and families benefit from increased income - and therefore increased access to nutritious food and the ability to send their children to school.
2) Because Global Goods Partners is a nonprofit organization, all proceeds of your fair trade purchase go towards supporting our artisan partners around the globe. Support comes in three forms:
- increased orders, thereby providing more income
- technical assistance, such as customs, packing or quality control direction
- capacity building with product development and marketing assistance
3) We often partner with very rural organizations that integrate community development with income-generating activities. Your purchase generates revenue for organizations in Africa, Asia, or the Americas engaged in community development initiatives such as: women’s healthcare, access to primary education and skills training. This means direct provision of social services to the world’s poorest communities.

The SPMA Environmental Committee, which was established in early 2010, is proud to announce the EcoSchool status of SPMA!
While there is still much work to do to more deeply “green” our school, this is a milestone to be celebrated. SPMA is the only school in Beaufort County to be registered as an EcoSchool with the National Wildlife Federation.
Dear SPMA Community,
The SPMA Booster Club is participating in an eco-friendly online fundraising program with the help of Mother Earth Fundraising. We receive up to 40% profit on all purchases.
The website features things like 100% recycled gift-wrap, ‘green’ school supplies, reusable shopping bags, organic baking mixes, soy candles, fair-trade items, and eco-friendly household and personal products.
Mother Earth Fundraising also operates in a responsible manner: they are a paperless company that uses only eco-friendly packing materials and purchases carbon-offsets to make all of your orders ‘carbon-neutral.’
You can purchase items anytime throughout the year (see our Shop SPMA page anytime) and we will continue to receive credit. You can begin supporting us by:

3. These items will be shipped directly to you via UPS or USPS.
