While you are enjoying your weekend, our Technology Committee has been updating our school email so that we can have the latest, most efficient email accounts in order to meet the needs of our families who prefer to communicate at their convenience via email. As sometimes happens during technical transitions, there was a gap in time during which your email may not have been received.

If you have sent an email this week that has not been answered, please send it again so that we may address your needs or concerns as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience. I am confident that our new email system will increase our communication efficiency in order to ultimately best serve the children of SPMA.

SPMA Booster Club Notes:

• The Everything-Old-is-New-Again Uniform Sale! At SPMA we are all about recycling and reusing. With those thoughts in mind, it is time to dig through the closets and boxes and pull out all SPMA wear and gear that is too small or no longer wanted. We will be holding a “recycled” uniform sale at the school with proceeds benefiting the SPMA Booster Club.

Please take these clean, washed donations and place them in the baskets in the front lobby of the school. The clothes will be organized and re-sold at the Back-to-School Kick-off Party (date TBA). All sizes are welcome, old Land’s End uniform pieces, t-shirts, school supplies and bags too. Drop off will start Monday August 23rd and continue until Monday August 30th.

The first day of school for all Upper School students (Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School) is Monday, August 23rd from 8:15 am to 3 pm.

Additional orientation and start dates for Primary and Preprimary can be viewed here.

On Thursday, August 19th from 6 to 7 pm all parents are invited to campus to meet with their child’s teachers. Upon arrival, please first visit the classroom for orientation and afterward everyone will convene in the lobby for staff introductions and important announcements. This evening is a great time to reunite, meet and great new families, get informed and have any beginning-of-school questions answered.

All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing each of you!
