• There will be a First Friday Coffee with the Head of School on Friday, February 10th at 8:30 am in the atrium. Parents are encouraged to attend with any school-related questions they may have.

• Student photos are online. Details here. The online gallery will expire on Tuesday, February 14th so please be sure to order before then.

• There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 20th in honor of President’s Day. It will be a Teacher In-Service Day.

• Please mark your calendar now for a Community Meeting on Tuesday, February 21st at 6:30 pm. It will be a “Next Step Night” when parents visit their child/ren’s rising classroom. Details to follow.

• Re-enrollment forms and deposit are due by Thursday, March 1st.

School Notes:

• Art Teacher Sarah Perry is in need of more “good garbage” for the art studio. Please bring clean and dry grocery and household items (food containers, bottles, broken items, etc.) that can be safely and hygienically used in the art studio. Also, Mrs. Perry is looking for the donation of 6 plywood sheets for the opera set as well as any sea life such as shells, nautical/ocean items, etc.. Thank you! Middle School students will be collecting donations (coins and dollars) in soup pots during morning carpool. There will be one soup pot for the Giants and one for the Patriots who will play against each other in Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, February 5th. Donate to your team of preference! It will be fun to see which team collects the most! All donations will benefit the Grateful Hearts Soup Kitchen to fight local hunger.

Encourage your children to show their team spirit by wearing Giant, Patriot, SPMA or other team shirts on this special morning of giving to those in need. Have fun! Do good!

SPMA collected $309.26 in 2010 and $117.84 in 2011. Can we surpass these numbers? Go SPMA! Let’s make this year bigger than ever! Bring lots of change to help tackle hunger.
