Fraser, developer of the Sea Pines Resort. The Academy offers an authentic Montessori education from 18 months of age through the eighth grade.

SPMA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the International Montessori Council (IMC) and is affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS) and South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA).

Sea Pines Montessori Academy seeks to meet the individual needs of the whole child in an environment enriched with multi-sensory, concept-building materials, music, art and athletics. Capturing the natural curiosity inherent in children, Sea Pines Montessori Academy cultivates a life-long love of learning in order for the students to emerge as competent, confident, and independent citizens of the world.

Sea Pines Montessori Academy offers a campus tour by appointment, encouraging anyone who is interested in learning about the Montessori Method and the school to come see Montessori children at work. As the first Montessori school founded in the state of South Carolina, Sea Pines Montessori Academy strives to maintain its status as a premier Montessori model, infusing students with a passion for excellence, a reservoir of compassion and the ability to lead into the future with adaptability and global awareness.
